Personally, I feel the replacement is fair. Those 2 Ellis cards you listed are from 05-06 (rookie year), where as yours is 06-07. You probably got more in BV with the Reggie but probably around equal in SV.

acetates are pretty rare
jr smith is trash
even if the reggie is ok (and doesn't make up for the acetate in value IMO but it's close enough), jr smith is unacceptable as a "sorry we dont have ur card but here's a low end auto"Last edited by halekulani; 03-25-2008 at 01:48 AM.

I agree... If the Miller would have been on acetate I would have had no problem. But the fact that it's just another auto is what I don't like. And the slap in the face smith auto as well. I'm waiting for a reply from UD. Should be interesting!!!

If you dont like their response, call them again. I got a Billups auto, D-Will GU, and a LeBron GU just for calling like 3 times complaining about the Artifacts box I had bought.

Really? How'd that work? I still haven't gotten their email yet so I will wait for that. I'm guessing it's just going to be the generic we're sorry.... blah blah blah.

Yeah, they tried to tell me the same old story that the odds are generated for the entire product run and not for individual packs and boxes and I kept telling them I was unhappy. Then he finally said he would send me some stuff in the mail.

Your letter was well written. As a former customer service supervisor for a company, I can tell you a polite letter like that does much more good than ranting and threats. I hope Upper Deck does something good for you.

Thank you! Still no answers yet and UD policy is within 48 hours. I'll be sure to share the results.

Got an email back... They said I could try again. But what do you guys think? Is it worth waiting another 6-8 weeks for another replacement or just take what I got?!?! Of course, they never answered the questions I had for them. Dumb. But whatever....Lmk what you guys think! Thanks!!
Hello Josh,
I understand your frustration. Upper Deck’s policy is to not accept replacements back for trade when comparable value is provided, simply because the redemption must be fulfilled, and the card in question may no longer be available, but this is determined on a case-by-case basis. In my opinion, Reggie “Knick Killer” Miller was a more electrifying player than Monta Ellis has been up until now. As a courtesy, I am willing to try again with your replacement. Please mail the card in through traceable mail to the following address for further assistance:

I got the regular non acetate auto version and redeemed it a long time ago
ended up with a finley gu floor and david thompson auto ;[ whose SV is something like $4 combined
and the ellis would have sold for at least $10
you didn't do too bad
