Ewing, Hakeem, Riley selected for HOF
SAN ANTONIO (AP) -Hakeem Olajuwon, Patrick Ewing, coach Pat Riley and four others have been elected to basketball's Hall of Fame.
Also among the Class of 2008 are Adrian Dantley, coach Cathy Rush, broadcaster Dick Vitale and NBA team owner Bill Davidson.
The announcement was made Monday in San Antonio, site of the men's Final Four.
Induction is Sept. 4-6 in Springfield, Mass., home of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Those were great personalities on and off the court. They really deserve it. congratulations to all of them.

Glad to see Dantley get in, he was a premier scorer back in the day. Ewing and Olajuwon were a given this year, but not too sure about Vitale though. Was not much of a coach, I assume he's getting in almost solely on the ESPN gig. I always followed Ewing from freshman year at G'Town until the end, and I am a big collector of his stuff, if he could have only won the title just once................
