Serious ebay help
hey guys, last week i sold an AP auto for $200 and shipped it out first class mail w/ tracking conf.
today the guy received it and claims that when he opened the package (bubble mailer), nothing was in there and that it appeared that the glue on the side was not sticking and the right side of the envelope was open.
Obviously, when I shipped it, there was no problem
so what should I do?? i have the proof i shipped it, and he didnt purchase insurance
thanks guys!

Tough break for him, if it shows you shipped it and it was dlvd then there is really nothing he can do. Maybe I'm wrong

it doesnt look to great for me....i have 45 feedback 100%, he has 2000+ 100%
all i know is that i have proof that i shipped it and he already said he received it so if it was tampered with in transit i fail to see how i have any kind of responsibility

Don't be surprized if PAYPAL comes after the $200 back. You should have insured it. Not really sure how paypal will handle that claim....good luck though

this what he said:
please check. i received about 15 envelopes today, all of them were sealed at the top. Yours was the only one that was openned along the side. i didn't even know that it was empty or opened until i picked it up and noticed the weight, but it was sealed from the top. then i opened the envelope and i notice that the right hand side of the envelope was wide open. the package came from ###. please fix this. this is the first time that this has ever happened in all of my years on ebay. ron

thats what you would think, but thats not always the case......i mean im not saying you did this, but what keeps people from just sending out empty mailers with confirmation on them? thats where insurance comes in to play, then you have people doing just as i said and claiming the insurance (insurance fraud).
could you link the auction please? id like to have a look at it and check out the buyer myself
