Steve - just say 'Cards'....your not lying, and they'll think 'b-day cards' and charge $0.58 hopefully! just make it a little thicker so if they know the size of sports cards, they cant tell as easily

It's $1.13 minimum for a First Class Parcel (1oz). A 2oz First Class Parcel is $1.30. PWEs go through a mail sorter and get bent. Anything too rigid for the mail sorting machine should be charged the parcel rate.

i think .58 is the "non-machine" rate, does that mean it does not go through the machine? that was how i understood it.. i too have been charged $1.30 for a PWE, but not for just one card. I think if it fits inside that little slot they put the envelope in to measure thickness, it can be bumped up?

Molly - that's my understanding too...cuz it's too thick....but they also charge $0.58 for 2 oz....so, I guess that would be too thick as well

that little slot they put the envelopes thru is the maximum thickness a envelope can be to go thru the machine, I think....if it doesn't fit, they charge more

I send one card in a bubble mailer for the price of one stamp and the cost of the mailer which I reuse alot of those. I've never had a problem.
