stay away from boxes. you do not get what you pay for (unless you like a bunch of $15-20 gu cards). buy cards you really want from ebay or a dealer. i purchase about 15 boxes of basketball last year and did not get anything worth while. i picked up all my personal collection cards from ebay & trades at this web site.

I Think boxes are great if you know which products will allow you to get your money back i.e. Bought a box of Bazooka and 8 packs for $74
Carlos Boozer gold patch Sold for $30
    Malone Jersey sold for $4
Lebron Gold Border sold for $15
    Carmelo Gold Border $15
Sold a few of the rookies to make up the other $10
    Still have
    Shaq Jersey
    Duncan Jersey
    Collison Jersey
+ Have tons of rookies and stars and inserts that I am still selling and trading. I think there are many ways to gain value through buying and selling and you can pick up alot of good trade bait from buying cheap boxes and you still get to have that chance at that 1 amazing card like the Carmelo AUTO in topps bazoka's case
