Why even wonder about why Becketts prices are higher or lower regarding anyone. 99.99% of the time when a card SELLS on the open market Beckett price is not even close.

Im so glad someone finally said that, Has anyone ever paid full book price for a card? Has anyone ever even paid half book? The going rate for cards around here is about 1/4 of book and has been for as long as I can remember. No dealer in this state will even give you 1/10 of book for a card.

I think everyone has good points and i agree with all of you but you would think that since lebrons team isn't doing as well they would be closer in value. Like how in the becketts they tell you that a certain players card value has a down arrow because their team isn't playing well. Same should go here, but it does, plus i'm sure they think that rookies would have less impact then already astablished stars. Everyone has seen how much LeBron and melo have done for their teams, both outstanding young players, but they difference in value shouldn't be over $100
