i think that if one of the card companies made a product that had like 36 packs in it and they had limited production of the product and they made it so like there was 1 parralel per box and the case hit was a gu/or parralel /25 or something WITH NO AUTOGRAPHS then people would get more excited over this stuff yu know? and like there would be only a couple parralels but they were vv tough to get....that would be interesting...also the card needs to be appealing! if they did something like that would a chrome refactor technology it would be appealing to people of alll ages! you could desgin something like that and charge 2.00$ a apck and it could be like 75$ a box!

Viva 90's inserts!
I agree with the OP though, the letter cards were cool in the beginning, but I've seen ones today numbered to 75 or whatnot and boom!, they're no better than a decent pull. Who the heck knows though, I think a decade or two needs to stroll by to really see what kind of impact the newer wave of cards have on the hobby.
Nearly everyone bashed the mass of cards made in the 90's, but over the past few years I've noticed the 90's inserts becoming more and more desireable...again.
Who knows? I've never fell for the hype of 1 of 1's (particularly from recent years), rookie auto patches, or even Logoman's. I can honestly say I could and will wait 1,2, until 5 years or so to pick up such cards, because they will be much cheaper then. (well Logomans seem to fetch outrageous cash anytime, so I doubt I'd ever try for those).
It seems to me card companies today put out product in recent times geared for the seller and buyers (in buyers I mean the buyers who buy to flip), not for true collectors.
Once again....viva 90's inserts!
