Two 1/1's?
I came across this eBay Auction tonight. The odd thing about this is that I already have the 2007-08 Bowman Elevation Gold Amare Stoudemire #1/1! My first thought was that someone must have stole my collection, or just some of the more valuable cards. However, minutes later I looked through and realized everything in my Amare Stoudemire collection was still in my possession. I pulled out the 2007-08 Bowman Elevation and began investigating and analyzing the differences between my 1/1 and the 1/1 on eBay.
My 1/1 not only has the 1/1 printed on the front, but also the 1/1 triangular sticker which certifies it's authenticity from Topps. I requested a scan of the back of the card from the eBay seller, because I want to find out if my card is fake or if his is fake. Or, maybe they are both legit?
I'll be downloading the software for my scanner and setting up my scanner sometime this week. When I do, I will scan my 2007-08 Bowman Elevation Gold Amare Stoudemire #1/1.
Has anyone seen fake 1/1's?

Yes, he just updated the auction with a scan of the back of the card.
His sticker number reads: 210466
My sticker number reads: 209799
This is strange!
Is there a website where you can enter the number on your sticker to determine if the card is real or not?

Wow, this is interesting. I wonder if this is a fake card or an error by the distributer. Maybe the cards that they list as 1/1, really aren't 1/1.

I'm guessing it's an error by Topps, because both 1/1's have the 1/1 sticker produced by Topps on the back.

Error or not, if both cards are 1/1's, that is a huge printing mistake by Topps. You should try to phone Topps about this.

I seen fake one of one's. Of course not with Topp Sticker's on them. Where is the 1 of 1 on the card? I didn't see it. I look forward to seeing your card as well. As if they are both 1 of 1 there several options.
Do they have different parallels of this version like they do for printing plates? I don't know basketball at all so just asking.
1) Contact Topps to get their story
2) Perhaps they can help with the Fake or Real ?'s
3) Of course perhaps if they are both deemed to be real you could say I would like to trade mine in for a nice logo patch of AMARE as I hate to have you have 2 cards out there that should not be. LOLCard Supplies
Toploaders 60 point $4, 100 point $7, 140 point $4, 190 point $3, 240 point $3
Soft Sleeves Standard $1 and Thick $1.50
TOP-LOADER 3X4,100 CT PENNY SLEEVES INCLUDED $11

When in doubt, if you pulled your Amare 1/1 from a pack, then it is the real thing. The EBAY auction I would be suspicious of. I remember reading something in a Beckett Basketball maybe 2 years ago about people making fake X-Fractors and Refractors.
