I didn't pull my Amare 1/1 from a pack, I bought it off of eBay.

Do you remember what month and year that Beckett Basketball magazine was?

if the item doesn't end up going for alot, then I would buy it to compare them in person. If there is a still no differences from the two, then I think a call to Topps Inc. should be made.

there is no way there can be two 1/1. lol. cuz if one is fake, there is only one, and if they both are real...well...there really not 1/1. if you think the other 1/1 is real, you should grab that to have both sides of the error for your player collection!

Actually Topps has had issues with this recently in its baseball products. Several of their Red Refractors from Bowman Chrome #d /5 were found to have been double printed. It is not beyond Topps to screw up something low numbered.

Thanks guys for all the input and information. If I can find the funds, I might buy the "other" 1/1. ;)

Thats really weird. It makes you wonder. I actually pulled 2 1/1's since I started collecting 3 years ago. Wonder if those were actually 1/1's. I would call the company if I were you.

I think I'm going to call Topps about this...

Does anyone know the phone number for Topps?

Here's their contact page. I can't say exactly how much luck you'll have getting an actual person on the line though.

Are they the same color? These companies are making lots of plates and parallels that are just a different color. Could he have the gold 1/1 for example and you the bronze 1/1? I just read where Finest is going to have like 750 printing plates this year. Triple Threads had a bunch this year too. Might be something like that to fool us into thinking we are getting something rarer than we are??
