    Srman77: I'm not here to even think about telling you the Clips are going to win a Championship anytime soon but don't forget that last year they were without their best player in Brand and lost several others for long stretches of the season. In 06-07, they won a first round playoff series and pushed Phoenix to Game 7 in round 2. A good poing guard could make them much better this year but probably not Championship better. ;)

    If Davis and Brand sign, this is the projected starting lineup.

    PG-Baron Davis
    SG-Cuttino Mobley
    SF-Al Thornton
    PF-Elton Brand
    C-Chris Kaman

    what about maggette and q. ross???. last year ross was the starter at sg and mobley was 6th man.

    Maggette has opted out and isn't returning. Clippers can't afford Davis, Brand, and Maggette. Ross starting at SG over Mobley next season? Possibly. Also, the Clippers drafted Eric Gordon...who could start at SG.
