    Favre possible return

With his family "tugging" on him to play, Brett Favre has an "itch" to come out of retirement and report to training camp with the Green Bay Packers later this month, according to sources close to the team and player.

If he returns, this is a mistake. I like him and respect what he's done, but he called it a career.

As a Favre fan, I hope this isn't true. If he decides to come back or (even worse) ask to be released so he can play elsewhere, his image is going to be tarnished in my book. He's going to be one of those guys like Roger Clemens, whose numbers speak for themselves and say what a great athlete or player he was, but the off-field stuff adds a blemish to him on a personal level.

    Please Brett...stay retired.

well the only reason clemens legacy is tarnished is the steroids accusations (otherwise he was considered the greatest right handed pitcher of all time, ok, top 2)......and he'd NEVER go elsewhere to play......nothing can hurt his legacy, he's brett freakin favre - he's got the SB ring, all the records, and he's a likeable guy (the 3 most important things in terms of a sports figure's legacy)

i think this is bretts business and only his, so everybody else butt out, like he is gonna listen to or has to listen to people who know absolutely nothing about his business.
weather he plays or not is nobodys business but his.
BUT, with the class favre has and the standards he sets for himself, he won't be back.

This is your warning, Mr. Favre. Stay retired.
