SCF Must Send First Rule Reminder
From time to time I like to remind people of the Must Send First (MSF) rule. It is pretty clear. If you have less than 20 feedback you MUST send first to a member that has 20 or more feedback and doesn't have a MSF tag. This is regardless of cash, cards or other items. If you have more than 20 trades and do NOT have a MSF tag due to issues, I highly recommend you request members with less than 20 trades or that have a MSF tag. We would have almost zero disputes if our members followed this!
This rule is there for a reason. We have thousands of traders that have built up 20 or more positive feedback with tons building 100 or more. These traders have proven themselves. If you have less than 20 trades or have been assigned a MSF tag for any reason you must send first. If you are into this hobby for the long-term and are a good trader then you have nothing to lose except getting your cards a few days later. Build up your trades and you will quickly pass 20 trades. If you have more than 20 positive feedbacks on another site you can transfer your feedback here and get past the MSF rule.
Generally, I'm open for discussion on rules and changes, but not when it comes to this rule. My #1 priority each day is to take care of the SCF members. This rule protects our members, especially those who have been here for a long time and have proven their trustworthiness.
Just like being the new guy on a baseball team or at a new job you have to prove yourself. There is nothing against the new guy, but you have to prove yourself to the organization before you get all the benefits. SCF is no different! Before you know it you will be the seasoned veteran and people will send first to you.

I'm working this issue. When you make a trade it still states you must send first to the other trader, but you DO NOT have to send first. Just let the member know that you have transferred feedback and do not have to send first.
In our next trade manager upgrade this will be fixed.

Transferred feedback refers to feedback gained from other card forum sites.

We put our name and 15 years of retail experience behind every deal we make. In our daily dealings we have folks from all over the world sending us cards against our buy lists and not once have we ever not sent a check promptly or returned the cards. We understand your reasoning for this rule but will not send first. In the interest in making the trading system work we will send at the same time and provide tracking.
So in order to not be in violation we will simply not negotiate trades with anyone who requires the send first and/or stick to dealing with fellow users with less than 20 feedback until we reach the 20 mark.
