    Are the TB Rays Legit???

So what does everyone think about the Rays (their not Devils anymore) actually winning the American League East.
Red Sox are on their tail although the Yankees look done.

What does everyone think. Can they do it??

Yes, Maddon might be the best coach out there, well possibly besides Mike Scoscia who he worked closely with and won a World Series in the past. Maddon is actually from my town, Hazleton, PA. I used to frequent his relatives sub shop, The Third Base when I used to deliver mail in town and aside from making great food, they're great people so I'd like to see a good hometown guy win with his team. Would have liked to see them make a deadline move or 2, but I believe in this team.

nope, haven't bought them yet, and probably still wont until the make it. the team fights a lot, and if its not with the other team it is with themselves...see navarro and matt garza i believe it was. IF they make the post season, i don't see them getting past one series. no experience minus cliff floyd, percivals arm can fall off anytime, young pitching will get tired. crawford going on the DL isn't going to help

I think they will make the playoffs, either winning the division or as the wild card. I don't see the Yankees making it with their pitching.

I doubt the Rays make it out of the first round though. Only team I can see them beating in the playoffs would be the AL Central champ (Twins or Sox).

I think they'll make the playoffs.

All depends on who they get though, to see how far they can go. If they draw the AL Central winner in the first round, I think they can win.

Regardless, I don't see them getting past the Angels or BoSox in the playoffs.

Either way, an amazing season for them!

The Rays are having an amazing season and will be good for many years down the road. They are seriously one or two trades away from being a World Series winner.

Yes, they are for real. Great starting pitching, decent offensive, and great mix of veterans and young stars. They should not be underestimated. They have a little trouble on the road but so does 27 out of 30 teams in the MLB, I believe.

If it's true Crawford is going on the DL, that is a problem. Maddon is a great manager though and he will find a way to work around it. They've been lucky to avoid many injuries this year and they survived without Carlos Pena while he was on the DL.

They have a great shot at making the playoffs and they might even take someone out in the first round. Second round and beyond is up to them. If they step up, they can do it. But I don't see them getting past the Angels.
