I got the insurance from Best Buy and when they replaced my last one they asked if I wanted to renew it. I actually laughed at the lady and said yes I do for this P.O.S.

I think you have to keep the reciept of when you bought the insurance for it.

wow I thought it would be like your average crap well cmb for some then
didnt see anything towards my pc project ( the cards im looking for in my sig) but i do like the alex gordon topps chrome auto ( i couldnt pull that card to save my life

When you buy it a serial number gets scanned and then sent to Microsoft. I asked them the same thing over the phone.

Im talking about when you send it back to microsoft... you have to have the receipt?
I know for damn sure I don't have a receipt... and I even bought the insurance from game stop but lost all the info for that too.
