[RANT] Not Very Happy With Classics
I just finished busting 4 of those WalMart 8 pack boxes of Classics and I am not happy at all. Before anybody says "Why don't you buy from a hobby shop?" let me say that the closest one is 45 miles away and it is hit or miss if he will be open.
So I busted the 4 boxes, total of 32 packs. You would think that I would get at least 1 RC, 1 GU or 1 auto out of 32 packs, right? Nope. I got jack. A bunch of crap numbered cards and inserts. I should have just flushed my $90 down the toilet and saved myself the time of ripping the packs.
My pulls:
Triples 501/1000 Bednarik/Motley/Lane
Singles 579/1000 Leroy Kelly
Team Colors - Flacco, Mendenhall, Ryan, Brohm
Sunday's Best Ryan Grant 326/1000
Timeless Tributes Bronze /250 - Marc Bulger, Tim Brown
Timeless Tributes Platinum /100 - Brandon Marshall
Legends base /999 - Dan Marino, Ozzie Newsome, Bob Waterfield (x2)
That's it. Not even a crap rookie that was drafted in the 7th round, not even a low #ed insert that might book $20, nothing. Last year I said I wasn't buying any more Topps Chrome wax after I busted 7 boxes and didn't hit a single auto. Looks like Classics is going into the same category.
I am seriously considering not busting wax anymore at all. If I had spent that $90 on singles I could have some really nice cards right now. I could have bought a single card on eBay that books over $250 with it. I just simply wasted $90 and I won't make that mistake again.

Thats a part of the hobby...I personally wouldn't spend 90 dollars on blaster boxes, I'd actually get a hobby box from online so you would actually get something.

The last time I bought a box on-line the shrinkwrap had been removed and I am pretty sure the box had been searched as I didn't get anything out of it. Won't be doing that again either.

It really sucks. When I lived in PA my little town of about 1500 had 2 card shops. Here in WV I live in the largest town for 40 miles in any direction and there isn't even 1 shop.

I would suggest purchasing online from reputable dealer.
Retail packs usually have nothing good in them.

Donruss is i think the worst of all of them for blasters...i have not had any luck either with Classics blasters i picked up a couple of inserts and such. Topps normally has decent stuff to make it worth your while for blasters, but overall the most success i have had with Donruss blasters has been this year in Prestige.

Bingo.
At least if you bust wax, buy it online from a reputable dealer like DAcardworld.com or blowoutcards.com

I opened 3 or 4 heroes blasters and not one #'d parallel let alone a g/u or auto....thats just how the majority of retail blasters are. They are RETAIL packs for a reason, they are not generally geared to satisfy people who are chasing the big hit. At least in my opionion that is. I believe they are geared for the younger crowd that collects but cant afford hobby boxes, and set builders looking to get a bulk of cards cheap.
I'd have to also say like some other people, you should have taken that $90 and ordered a hobby box of classics from dacardworld or blowoutcards OR spent the $90 getting some nice cards off here or eBay.
