One sided news networks...
I have been following the elections pretty close this yea. One thing i have noticed is that you cant really get unbias news from any of the News networks! the most fair and ballenced i have seen have been from my local PBS station! its so ridiculas! Im an Obama supporter and will amidt that CNN does play in Obama's favor, sometimes blatently, but most of the time is just mild jabs hear and there. Now if you roll over to Fox, holey carp! The things i have seen and heard on there! For a while they would only refer to Obama by his full name, which yes, t is a Muslim name, but Fox was using it as a scare tactic IMO. then i saw something on ther one day that made me sick. They were reading viewer emails about Something Obama had done. Now i realize Fox didnt wirght this but they did screen it and put it on the air. The viewer refered to Obama as a false Massia and everyone need to "stop praying to Sheik Barak Hussain Obama"!!! WOW fox! nice unbias reporting! I dont know if its me but a guy in office who is a Rep. said even that was a low blow! what do you all this about Fox's no spin comments?

Fox is right-wing...CNN, MSNBC is left-wing. Most of the news stations have either a conscious or subconscious bias one way or the other. You're exactly right that it's next to impossible to find objective reporting any more, which is what the whole industry of news was founded on. It's really sad. Slanted commentary makes more money than unbiased news.
The best options I've found are NPR/PBS and the BBC. NPR/PBS try to remain objective at least, although sometimes it's still skewed to the left, and the BBC is an outsider view, although it can be biased at times as well.

Im just getting sick of it all really. I can see a lot of people getting swayed by some of these networks. Now Im not slamming Alabama, but my neighobrs are from Alabama still believe Obama is a Muslim because they head some right-wing raido host say so last year. I just wish all of these news/raido people would stop worring about ratings and start thinking about giving people the facts about Canidates and issues, not hwat shoes they own and what church they pray at. Which brings me to another thing that makes me mad. What happened to seperation of church and state? I dont care what God/s you pray to, can you run this country?

Oh very true...people listen far too much to what they hear on tv and do far too little research on their own. I think a lot of people on both sides of the political spectrum would learn a lot if they would just turn off CNN or Fox News and do a little digging for themselves.

Thats what ive been telling people. Take your TV blinders off and do some reasheach. Your not really going to get anywhere by taking someone elses oppionions. The system in which some poeple choose a canidate is sickining. I dont know how many times ive heard "Well I dont really like him, but he's a Republican so I have to vote for him." or my favorite being in the Military, "He was in Vietnam, he's got my vote." Im a registerd Democrat but if I believed the Republican nominee was the best for the job, I'd vote fro him/her in a hart beat. I am actually going to regester as an Independent after the Elections.

Using a guy's full name, though, shouldn't be considered a right-wing move. It's the dude's name!

Actually, I have to agree w/srcole on this one...you don't hear the news networks saying John Sidney McCain III too often. Throwing the Hussein in there is pretty obviously a cheap shot.

What can I say? It's his name. If using a guy's name is "taking a shot" there is a major problem.

its not just saying his name thats the problem. Whatch McCain talk about Obama in a place like VA or Alabama or even NY and Califorinia. He and everyone else leaning to the right, the stress his middle name. and when do you ever hear othre polititions call each other by ther full name? Scare tactic. thats all it is.
