Yes, he was an ESPN new anchor. Not sure what that has to do with this discussion. He's longed moved past that role.
It has everything to do about his competence to discuss world views. There is a reason why Michael Strahan will be discussion football for a living. He knew football. Olbermann literally went from sports guy to political guy overnight. I generally like some competence in my news anchors in their ability to understand the news they are reporting. I would go from running a sports card site to a mechanics forum overnight because I know nothing about cars.
Who do you watch Mike? Hannity and Colmes? O'Reilly?
I find myself watching CNN more and more when there are no former Clinton staff on their. I watch Fox News for news and CNN when their is political debate. I will catch O'reilly about once a week. I'm very turned off by Hannity and Combs as I think they are both idiots, but at least they tell you where their positions are before they talk.

In resemblance, then, would it be fair to assume that you know nothing of politics since you run a sports site? We both know that's not true!

Ha! Jagfan you said this?
It all comes down to money. Olbermann's views are whatever MSNBC wants them to be. I would put money that he brown noses every Republican during the RNC.
I say this:
Want to bet some Card Cash that he doesn't?
And now you say?
Someone will, maybe not necessarily Olbermann.
You should stand by your words! :)

I disagreement with that assessment of Olbermann. I believe he's very knowledgeable in his field...but we're both entitled to our own opinions. I do not blindly agree to every one of Olbermann's views btw. I do realize that half his show is politics and the other half is oddball/bashing. I enjoy the O'Really bashing though.

I thought I backed it up pretty well when I said there is no use differentiating one anchor from another. The point is that MSNBC will have someone out there heralding the Republicans, and I will put card cash on that. It does not matter to me and it should not matter to anyone who it is. Individual television personalities are just props used by the respective parties to turn attention away from their respective flaws and give people something else to think about, and it's obviously working.

I see your point, but if you look at most of your CNN political analysts they had a political career. I take Hannity and O'Reilly with a grain of salt. Olbermann the same way. Olbermann is just a loud mouth much like O'reilly can get when he gets mad. Olbermann knows little about politics.
I run websites because I have been trained in that. I have a business degree as well. Olbermann talked about sports and knew it well. He only went to politics to smear O'rielly and try to salvage MSNBCs terrible ratings. Maybe he beats O'reilly now and then, but MSNBC is a failure due to their obvious bias. Yes, Michael Moore sells lots of books, but it is to the same 10% of America. I guess that is what MSNBC is shooting for.
Maybe I'm wrong and Olbermann has a Political Science degree. I'll do some research. :)

Deal! How much do you want to wager? I say MSNBC will NOT have someone to act like a school girl when McCain's wife speaks or Mitt Romney does. These are the equivalent speakers (the spouse and the 2nd place finisher).
Let me know how much you want to wager. :)

I'll go all in.
Now, would you care to address the main points of my postings? I'm interested in your thoughts.

Watching H&C slaughter Dukakis. You can faintly hear Obama giving a speech in the background.
