How old is to old to be collecting?

I'm 39 and don't really care what people think. What I do is my business, most of my friends don't collect, but think what I have is cool. I also have my stuff displayed in a sports room, which helps people understand what its all about.

I'm 26, been collecting since I was 9. I also have a lot of my things (auto'd jersey, helmets, 8x10's, and cards) displayed in my sports/game room. I only have a couple of friends into cards, but even those that aren't, think the stuff I have displayed is really cool. Everyone knows I'm heavy into sports, so it's almost expected that I would have some cards. I've even gotten some friends not into cards at all, pick some up of their favorite teams after seeing the things I have.

I think most people in these forums are going to say there is no age limit. And most people that don't collect will say 15.
I am 32 and collect all kinds of sports memoribilia nd have since I was young. Today I think collecting is being geared towards an older crowd with higer prices and more "throwback" products of older players. If you enjoy it keep doing it. There are a lot worse things you could be addicted too.

Most everyone out there has a hobby of some sort whether or not they will admit it is a different story......if collecting cards is something you enjoy doing then it should not matter what others think or how old you are. Most of us probably started collecting as kids and it is something taken into adulthood, if you are concerned with getting strange looks for collecting then maybe that is a sign of insecurity, those people giving the looks probably have nothing better to do with their time.

im 16 and 14-15 seems to be when people stop. out of all the people that i knew collected im the only one left.
