Hmm that cant be right I am always pegged as a Hippie commie Left wing liberal, despite my best efforts to prove I am a independant voter, and yes if Colin Powell would ever run for president he would have my vote (in fact he is the only one i would vote for of the 9 above)

I did all three:
On Non-Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Conservative (80).
On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Strong Conservative (91).

Your PERSONAL issues Score is 90%.
Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 100%.
LIBERTARIANS support maximum liberty (I like that phrase!) in both personal and
economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one
that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence.
Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose
government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate
diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.

so are libertarians Independents? Or would an Independent have a red dot right in the middle?

Both Libertarians and Centrists would probably be considered as Independents since they do not technically qualify as either Democrat or Republican according to the U.S.'s dominant two-party system.

Yes, an independent would be in the middle. They tend to be the ones that have the most moderated beliefs, while Libertarians (which I am also one) are very anti-government.

Actually there is a Libertarian Party and a Centrist Party, so you can be registered as either which would mean you're not an independent. To me, an independent is someone who isn't registered as a member of any party. But if you look hard enough, there's a political party out there for just about everybody: Political Parties in the United States.
