I'll never forget sitting in class my sophomore year of high school and watching the news the entire day, watching the second plane hit.
I'll never forget the feeling I had right before the first plane hit. I felt something was wrong, something awkward, something in world was changing. I was sitting in the gymnasium after Phys Ed waiting for the bell to ring. The lights were down and I looked up at the clock. The bell rang and we went to our second period class. I was walking through the hallway and felt an awkward silence. This was minutes before the first plane hit, before anyone knew what was about to transpire that day. Strangely, I remember this the most vividly about that day.
I get to my second period class and 15 minutes into it a TV was rolled into the classroom, everyone wondering what's going on, minutes before the second plane hit. As the second plane hit I look over to my friend next to me who is trying to figure out what's going on and I just say "I think we're about to be at war." Our world would be changed forever.
