    Best Vegas Stories

I realize some of you may be too young to have participated in the wonderfulness that is Las Vegas, but for those of you who have, let's hear your story! (Keep it SCF clean)

I think my best story is as follows:

Went in July 2000 for my birthday. Got there on my birthday, and started playing cards. I have a gem of a hand so I reach for my wallet to grab some loot for a double-down when I don't feel anything in my rear pocket. Long story short - my wallet was lifted. Casino managers and a host of other officials reviewed the tape from the camera over the table but nobody saw any discernible evidence that my wallet had been lifted... so basically I was SOL and just had to suck it up and cancel my credit cards.

Oh btw, did I mention I had $1100 in that wallet?

So l had about $20 left in my pocket, and over the course of the next few days, by a HUGE string of luck turned that $20 into $3000.

Weird turn of events but great outcome!

Another good story, yet not so lengthy is from 2006 when my friend Ben and I did what we like to call a Vegas bender where you fly out there around 5:00 pm, gamble and drink all night, and then fly back the next morning - no suitcase, no hotel room, just the clothes on your back.

Anyway, after a long night of drinking we were sitting at the airport ready to go home. Our plane gets there (the Southwest red-eye) and lo and behold who walks off the plane pushing a stroller with a baby in it? Kevin Sorbo of USA Network Hercules fame.

    That was so random.

Anyway, would like to hear yours.

Last time I got to Vegas I was still just too young to get in to any of the casino's except the "kids allowed section" of Circus Circus. So all the time we were there I had to be watched by grandma. I'm sure my parents had a hell of a time though, as we even ended up staying one night longer than expected.

Went to some peoples room and walked in with the lady screaming at me, well needed to pee so I did. Security shows up asking for my I.D> Sorry didnt take it with me sir as I am in my underwear. Security lets me back in the room all is good.

So this one time I went to Vegas with my mom, dad, and older sister. My sister and I were both too young to get into the casinos so we tried to get fake ID's. I was able to get a fake ID under the name Nick Papageorgio. My dad lost the entire family fortune on his horrible betting luck with this one particular dealer, and my mom almost fell in love with Wayne Newton! My luck that evening was amazing, however. I made a ton of money and even won a few cars. I was on such a hot streak, until my parents came in and busted me. But we still got to keep the cars!

I have been there 8 times so I will keep it to a few short ones.

1997, went for the super bowl(packers/Pats) with some friends. Went to a club called "the beach"(at least thats what i think it was called). Turns out Dennis Rodman was there giving out beers to anyone who can get in reach of him. He must have given out hundreds of bottles.

1999, this one I will never forget as I kick myself all the time. Went at the beginning of the football season. Rams were 100-1 to win the Super Bowl. Colts were high too.(50-1 or so) Me and a buddy both said we would put $100 on them. I was going to bet the Rams and he would bet the Colts. Never got around to doing it as I went broke by the end of the trip. Needless to say I should have been $10,000 richer as the Rams went on to win it all.

2000, me and 2 friends. KISS is playing at the Mandalay bay. My 2 friends are cheap asses so they won't pony up the $165 for 6th row tickets to the left of the stage. Wound up winning a few hundred playing blackjack the night before so I treated for the tickets. Best seats I ever had. Ted Nugent opened for them so that was pretty cool too.

Not a great story but this past March, we saw Lou Piniella walking through the MGM drunk off his *** 2 days before the season was scheduled to start. I don't even know if he knew who he was, he was that drunk. lol

Then there are the countless nudie bar adventures that I won't get in to. LOL

You didn't happen to pick up a winning Keno ticket that belonged to an old man who passed away in his chair, did you? lol

i went last year with 3 buddies for spring break, after all the booze, clubbing, and random expenses, I left up over 1700 in my pockets. Its a great city, good food, non stop action. I didnt sleep for the first 72 hrs we were there. We hit up studio 54, body english, tao, and a couple of the smaller clubs.

I went a couple months ago with my girlfriend at the time, ex now. There isn't a really great story to this but no matter where I went, I played this one slot machine and kept winning on it. Red Rock, Wynn, Hilton, the Venetian, everywhere I went I won on that machine. It was really cool. I also won a lot on some single hand blackjack. Didn't drink at all since my ex didn't drink. But the gambling was fun since I won a bit :)
