Thank you President Bush
I just filled up at $2.99 a gallon. I figure since it is his fault when gas is $4 it must be because of him that it is $3.

I'm sure tons of people are pumped up that they locked in to crappy cars so they could get the 2.99/gallon guarantee!

Still $3.39 here in California, as of yesterday. A lot better than it was though.
I just hope this doesn't make me people think that suddenly our dependence on oil is over or no longer an issue. We need to pursue alternative fuels!

If you are talking about the Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler incentive (which I'm sure you are) ... would you car to elaborate on why you think they are "crappy"? Because I have a Jeep Patriot right now and have owned many a Dodge cars in the past and have never had an issue with them. Now when I bought my Patriot I didn't opt for the 2.99/gallon deal because at the time my dealership was offering $3500 in cash incentives and at the time that was more than the 2.99 would save me over 3 years. But for some people with certain cars ... it really is a great deal!

Definitely not trying to start something. I am talking about people who bought cars that don't really fit there needs so they could get this deal. It doesn't sound like this is the case for you. I guess I am unpatriotic though in some senses since I always prefer the foreign stuff when it comes to cars

Not trying to argue that prices have dropped (Although still around 3.69 in LA) but gas prices also fell in October of 04 before starting to go up rapidly in January of 05 and staying up. Ill reserve praise on the low gas prices for a few more months.
