I said this:
Obama will be walking on water soon. So what if he drowns 10 people while walking on water.
And he actually reported the thread and stated that I mocked religion and he was offended. That is an abuse of the SCF Thread Report system. In no way did I mock religion.

oh, i agree totally, but call me an idealist, a fool, or something in between...it just bugs me when discussions get personal for no other reason than people disagree on beliefs. Hell, part of the great thing about living in this country is that we are allowed to disagree safely and without fear of attack or reprisal...and i see far too much of that going on here, and its my goal to try and mitigate it...

Ok, I know Im late to the party but I need to address some things.
Mike you said this, as we all know.
Obama could rape a child and Obama supports would say so what, McCain cheated on his wife.
You failed to acknowledge that the comment was distasteful and defended it with this, which to me, was also offensive.
It is far from disgusting and insulting. If the truth hurts...
The fact that you are trying to compare infidelity to child rape is crazy and absurd, and that is on top of everything else that’s wrong with the statement. Then instead of keeping the thread open and discussing it, you close it down (Not the first time you have done that), and quickly make 10 posts in about 15 minutes. In my opinion you did that to cover it up, so it is sent down the page. Especially since a lot of the posts were fluff posts really saying nothing.
Yes you did apologize in a PM to Yanksfan and I. However when I tried to address my concerns (and I don’t believe I was rude in doing so) to you… you got defensive and told me to “Forget the apology.”
As you can see Mike, Yanksfan and I weren't the only ones that found the statement distasteful.

Maybe you didn't read the response before I closed it down. I was called a liar and other offenses. The thread was not closed down because of the comments I made.
Thanks for bringing up old news and not addressing the thread. This political discussion forum has become the "victims" against the evil owner who has YET to issue an infraction. I have yet to see a few members actually address a single thread topic, but do a fine job of recycling old news. I'm starting to wonder if a discussion will break out soon!

Mike, no one's questioning your ability to run the site. In my eyes, you're just another blogger. You called me a liar and various obsenities, but you don't see me throwing a fit. If you make an outlandish claim, it is your responsibility to address and defend it, not hide it. We are simply expressing concern--not hatred, resentment, or any other childish tactic. I wish you would start respecting our voices instead of mocking them.
