Saw regular tonight at 2.59. Not bad! Oil is dropping so hopefully we see gas under $2 before Thanksgiving.

Prices are still 3.40+ here in L.A.

As far as Gatorboy and prices dropping...He's right. Prices drop when a republican is in office running for re-election. I believe I once posted a graph on it in the Politics forum. Same thing happened when Schwarzenegger was running for re-election. Prices dropped only to go back up very fast a few months later. Trust me I'll be happy if they continue to drop, but I fully expect them to go up at a pretty high rate starting Jan-Feb.

they will probably go back up. But anyone who thinks that Bush, McCain, or Schwarzenegger can control what opec charges for a barrel of oil is leaning more on conspiracy theory than actual economic factors. Barrels of oil have dropped due to the sinking economy and the drop in demand. It always seems to co-incide with elections because gas always drops in the fall after labor day and travel decreases.

Prices are in that range in Northern California too...

As for the reason for price drop, I completely agree. It has happened consistently in every election. I would bet that prices are going to head back up starting as early as mid November...

OPEC agreed yesterday that they are going to cut production by 2 million barrels a day so that the prices can go up again. Here are the links. The second one is more detailed
