i've always called all soft drinks Coke. Not soda or pop or pepsi which is what I drank growing up. Not sure why but that was what I used. Pop just sounds too stupid and easily misunderstood

"Pop" sounds too childish for an adult to ask for. It reminds me of words like lollipop, sugarpops, ice cream pops, blow-pops, etc.

I put other as in a coke,But when i lived in staten island new york it was soda,now that I'm in mississippi it seems most people either ask for a coke or a pop.
