I've been in the midwest (Iowa) for 7 years now and I say "pop" now...in the northeast where I lived everything was "a coke".

I say pop, I live in bc canada and I NEVER EVER hear anyone except maybe really old people say soda so to me I always related it to like old times cause its also like that in a lot of old movies.

But then when I went down to seattle this past summer not a single person says pop and everywhere I went I got crazy looks when i asked for a pop haha

Its funny though how much it makes a differnce to some people

Soda here. I'm from the North East... have fun finding anyone who grew up remotely near me that says pop.

I remember being a little kid and going out to Minnesota for a family reunion and was asked multiple times if I wanted a pop. It took a little while to sink in what the heck they were talking about.

Don't laugh, but I heard " Tonic " when up in Boston.

I already cast my vote for POP because that is what IT IS!!! Haha. But I am from northwest PA. About 20 miles northeast of Erie.
