I've been in the midwest (Iowa) for 7 years now and I say "pop" now...in the northeast where I lived everything was "a coke".

I say pop, I live in bc canada and I NEVER EVER hear anyone except maybe really old people say soda so to me I always related it to like old times cause its also like that in a lot of old movies.
But then when I went down to seattle this past summer not a single person says pop and everywhere I went I got crazy looks when i asked for a pop haha
Its funny though how much it makes a differnce to some people

I call it by it's intended name....Soda....just read the Can, pretty easy...LOL
What do people who call it pop say, when they order an Ice cream Soda?? An Ice cream pop???

Soda here. I'm from the North East... have fun finding anyone who grew up remotely near me that says pop.
I remember being a little kid and going out to Minnesota for a family reunion and was asked multiple times if I wanted a pop. It took a little while to sink in what the heck they were talking about.

I already cast my vote for POP because that is what IT IS!!! Haha. But I am from northwest PA. About 20 miles northeast of Erie.
