WWE-Gen or Fake?

Hi guys, I know many of you simply die-for WWE.But still..... What do you reckon? Is it fake or real? If it's fake and thats what i believe, why the heck are there so much crowd each time? Are they that dumb?

wrestling is fake in the sense that the match outcomes and whatnot are scripted and rehearsed several hours in advance, but real in the sense that wrestlers do get hurt on occasion and sometimes deviate from the script when doing interviews and/or promos, known as "shooting", or when wrestling each other sometimes they will actually hit each other, known as "stiffing" an opponent, and both of these can lead to real-life conflicts. to me personally, wwe is a joke anymore. wwe programming is basically like a soap opera with some (as of late crappy) wrestling thrown in. they care more about the story-telling and other elements like that rather then the actual wrestling. they hired freddie prinze, jr as a writer for crying out loud! and wcw of course had the infamous david arquette world title run. thats why i like to watch the smaller independant promotions, like ring of honor, for example. while they too have storylines and whatnot, there emphasis is almost always on the wrestling because they are a wrestling company, and wwe apparently forgot that they are one as well (or used to be, depending on who you talk to). you want real wrestling, search youtube for japanese stuff ( specifically kenta kobashi matches), and youll see what i mean. or watch some roh stuff. id recommend stuff from the beginning (2002) to 2006 (one specific match to watch is samoa joe vs kenta kobashi from october 2005, but there are numorous other great matches during that span). as for their current stuff, i have no idea if its good or not. and of course ECW (the original ECW, not the one on sci fi every tuesday) is always good. id recommend starting from 94-95 and going from there. lastly, if youre into the "deathmatch" style of wrestling, again search for japanese stuff, but also CZW ( specifcally cage of death and tournament of death) and IWA Mid-South (specifically the king of the deathmatches tournament).

It's not fake. It might be scripted, but the moves are real. The stars might perform them to not hurt as much, but they moves still hurt

It's scripted the out comes are fake, and all that. They tell each other what the moves are gonna be, but the moves still hurt.

Let me ask you this - do you think people who watch scripted TV shows or movies are dumb? Because that's EXACTLY what wrestling is - scripted entertainment.

your not doing that well in the thinking department are you ? like someone said WWE is like any other T.V show scripted "So why so much crowd around it " why do so many people like seinfield ? its scripted just like WWE. As for moves lots of the moves are accualy NOT real EX. 5 knuckle shuffle,swanton bomb, all the weapon that get used against someone,all the top rope moves,head against the yurm buckle EX MOST MOVES ARE INFACT FACT BUT STILL VERY DANGEROUS

its entertainment, they know who is going to win but a lot of the shots still hurt like hell. You can't fake a 225 lb guy going 10 feet in the air and landing on someone or slapping someone in the chest. It is just like a live broadway play, it encourages fan interaction, boo the heal characters, cheer for the good guys. Its actually a lot more fun to actually be at a taping then sitting at home

Do people honestly still ask this question? Is it done with any seriousness or with the sole purpose of prodding wrestling fans? Because in all honesty, I cannot see the purpose of asking the question in the first place.

please tell me how getting hit with a chair is fake? yes, sometimes they put there hand in front to look like they try and block it, but other times, they hit with that chair as hard as they can with no protection

Those chairs are special made lightweight aluminum, why do you think they bend so easy? Honestly might hurt for a second but thats all
