The matches might be scripted, but the moves are real. Just because the wrestlers know whats coming doesn't mean that the move doesn't still hurt them.

on the other hand some of their injuries are scripted too so that they can have time off to do other things like Cena filming the Marine and Mr. Kennedy out while shooting Behind Enemy Lines 2. And there are injuries in each match, bruises, aches and pains. Matt Hardy once said if you come away from a match 100% healthy you didn't try hard enough

It's not fake, but they hit you in such a way to minimize the damage. Notice that they almost hit someone between the shoulders with the flat of the chair. Yes, sometimes they hit people in the head. However, for the most part, the moves are performed in a way (by BOTH performers) to protect the person taking the blow. A leg drop will land so that the leg is slightly bent, with the area behind the knee landing on the other person. Those knife-edge chops are actually open-hand slaps quite often. When they go to hit a chair against someone that is against the turnbuckle-post, they usually hit the POST.
There's a lot of acting involved on both parts, and the action is (more or less) scripted, and the ending is pre-determined, but the action itself is not 'fake'.
