Maybe it's just me, but why don't the People attack the government for spending too much instead of the Government dividing the People and turning us against each other?

Because the government gives enough handouts to keep enough people happy.

Agreed. I suppose reading books like 1984 and Brave New World in high school isn't having any effect.
We should all listen to "Sheep" by Pink Floyd since that's what we're becoming.
