I'm sure they'll have one hovering in two years, but it'll be decades before they're released to the public--the public who obtains the proper licensing and adheres to airway regulations. I can't imagine hundreds--thousands--of people in once city flying around in an organized fashion. It'll never happen. I know some people are going to pull the moon-landing argument, but no one ever (or still) expected/expects many people to fly around at once. Hate to burst bubbles, I'm just in a negative mood today.
Yeah that's what I was thinking all along. The only way I could see it happening is if everybody is on some sort of auto pilot that travel along designated airways, where the car basically drives itself and takes away the possibility of human error. Can you imagine people just zipping around wherever they wanted to? It would be like a fireworks display!
ever move into a place that has cable? You usually only get it for a month or so, but it's the greatest thing!
Somebody should get a treat when they buy our house in Chattanooga. When we signed up, we got a package with a discount, but it wasn't applied. When we called a few months later to complain, they gave us a credit to make up for what we were overcharged, which resulted in us not having to pay the bill for a few months. When the credit ran out, we never got another bill, but were still getting cable tv and internet. As far as I know, it's still going strong w/no bill (we actually moved over a year ago, so I can only assume).

I can only imagine what it would cost to insure.

HAHAHA
People can't even merge onto the beltway without hitting each other. One time I actually got rear ended while sitting at a red light with cars in front of me and behind me (all stopped). The lady says "sorry, I got confused and hit the wrong pedal".
Flying cars are a fantastic idea but as the Pimp said, unless they worked on an automated system they are NOT for the general public.
