Because it's giving you the full season stats up through the current day....so it'll fluctuate all season long, depending on what positions you are in in each stat category on that specific day.
Example.....right now, you might have 256 assists, and that gives you all 18 points. But if your guys don't get many assists tonight, and the guy who previously had 17 points for assists passes you, he'll move up to CURRENTLY hold the 1st spot, good for 18 points, and you would move down to the 2nd spot, good for 17 points. Which would result in your team either gaining a point, or dropping a point.
However, you could, in essence, gain it right back tomorrow, and he would lose it again. I know it might seem confusing, but it really isn't. All you have to remember is that each stat category hands out anywhere from 1 to 18 points, based on where you are in that specific category on any given day.Last edited by nadeau01_johnson48; 11-15-2008 at 03:06 PM.

Ok, I think I got it....so it goes up or down a point per day depending on where you rank for each stat per day for the season stats.
Now here's a question that I just thought of - why half points? I lose 1.5 points the other night - how does it get to be a half point? lol...sorry for all the questions...just wanting to understand it a little better (as I'm sure Matt is!)

Half points are usually because of ties with other teams.
And yes, on your first sentence, that's exactly how it goes. Although it could obviously go up more than a point or down a point....I think I went down 7.5 one day last week, because my team sucks. lol.

Thanks for all your help Jeremy.
Is this correct then :
Because of averages a team going from 5th in points to 6th on the overall board is how they got the +2 for last night?

It could have been from any of the stat categories, but yes....that's basically how it works.
If someone was 7th in assists and moved up to 6th, and was 11th in points and moved up to 10th, they would have gained 2 points last night.
