I think it's just too much work. Next step we'll have to examine every single card we have incoming and rate those cards on corners, centering, etc. etc. I find this is just getting too particular.
There was nothing wrong with the old way, and I understand trying to improve board features, but this isn't one of them. Leave it as is.

I really appreciate the feedback and will look into this more in the coming days. Keep the feedback coming.

Someone mentioned that you can give a negative or neutral for PWE shipping, i don't think this is true. I think negative can only be left if you don't receive. Neutral I am not sure about. just throwing that out there.

In regards to the mods having a 5.0...I will be the first to tell you that all members have not given me 5 stars on everything...the 5.0 you see is my average of all my ratings...so it balances out over time...

How would you know if any member gave you less than a 5.0?
Since that is your average, not many people gave you less than a 5.0, but that also shows me that members are afraid to leave a lower rating for a mod, compared to a regular member and I haven't seen any of those with a 5.0 average that have anywhere near your total of completed trades with #'s.
The rating system seems unbalanced when ratings are made for moderators versus members and the fact that the #'s were hidden for the first 10 ratings (as per requests from members). Also, the fact that if a trader isn't happy because of some other issue in life, on the boards, the arcade, etc., it reflects the other traders rating.
I think the old system of leaving feedback was a great, honest SCF feature with little or no room for discrepensies and if there was a problem, it had to be explained and investigated into, this can't be done with #'s, as supposebly no one can see what they were rated.
I would love to see the old system back into place, so no one can hide behind #'s.
Thank you.

Admins can view all star ratings left for all members...that's how I know...
Originally, we had it set where all members could view the stars and who left them. Members complained this could cause a backlash, so we removed it to where only admins can view it.
Keep in mind...yours is based on 11 ratings...mine is based on between 143-146 ratings...because I have more ratings, it balances out the overall numbers. Much like when you get more ratings it will do the same.
We can easily bump up the number of ratings needed before it shows up for everyone to view...say 25 instead of 10...

I still think this way will have inconsistencies and will end up with bickering. It already has in this thread, hasn't it? Or, I guess that's discussion!!

Seriously though, I, myself, have been guilty of being inconsistent. For example, I've only given a mark of 5. Some, because the trade has been perfect, others, I honestly can't remember what the packaging, protectors are from the time I receive it until the time it's time to leave feedback.
As well, someone I've traded with about 3-5 times, our last trade they forgot about it, but ending up sending it express once it was brought to attention. I probably should've said that the time wasn't 5, but because I've traded with them, I put it was a perfect trade.
It's really easy to put numbers that may not often reflect the true trade.

OK, so overall, 7 admins can read anyones #erd ratings? That's not so bad, # wise, but I would believe when admins are rated, members will be leary of what # they use, therefore 5.0 will show up alot.
And if mods are friends with admins, I'm sure there are many, then the mod can ask an admin what rating they received and so on. Mods and admins speak through PM's often. I think that's another thing that would affect the trading community and another factor in what makes the system unbalanced.
If everything is done perfect with good packaging, quick turnaround, why not rate it that way? But that's not how I see it, how I have received it, how I have left it or how I have veiwed other members ratings.
Keep the old SCF feedback system and let ebay keep their rating system, they have enough problems over there. SCF has a family like atmosphere, why tamper with it?

I think this is another reason of many, of why the system is unbalanced.
A brief description and a positive, neutral or negative has been suffice for the past 6+ years, why change it to something that will always be questionable?

Are there any updates on this issue?
And will there be more opinions or answers to the replies made?
Please LMK,
Thank you.
