Laptop suggestions
Next month I will be getting myself a new laptop when I get my school money. Right now I have an Acer and it sucks. I've had nothing but problems with it since getting it. The screen is stupid, is super super slow, freezes a lot, my CD/DVD thing doesnt work, and the keys are falling off. I'm having to completely erase and redo everything about every month or two. I'll give this one to my little sister and let her deal with the problems..lol.
What laptop brand do you reccommendd? I've been looking at some Toshibas and have found a couple I like. And I've heard Sonys are good. Where is a good place to buy? I got this one at Circuit City.
All suggestions are welcome!

i have the dell inspiron 1525 and love it.
have had no problems w/ dells and i've used them @ work as well as home.
Guess it depends upon what you're using it for, what specs you need etc.

Dell is a very good way to go. You can usually find a good deal and there are almost always online coupons to make the deal even better. If you need any help with the specs let me know.
Disclaimer: I am an IT Manager and I may be a little bias. I use mostly Dells.

Ashley, take my word for it, DEFINITELY go with a Dell. I have the Inspiron E1405 and it's wonderful. It's very lightweight, durable, and very dependable. If you don't know much about computers, here are a few things that I would suggest making sure your computer comes with:
-Intel Pentium Core 2 Duo Processor
-AT LEAST 2 GB Memory
-AT LEAST 250GB Hard Drive
Check out this link here: http://www.dell.com/content/products...ref=lthp&s=dhs
Dell has some GREAT online savings, including the main one you'll see on that page: The Inspiron 1525 for only $549 (with rebate).
Plus, you can choose your own color on a lot of them :)

There is a site out there that has really nice laptops that aren't Dell's, Acer's, Sony's. The site is Ibuypower.com.
