The main problem you might have is the software. It can be a very large pain to get the software you have already bought to work on the mac and it really depends on what you want to do. There is nothing wrong with a MacBook but it will require some getting used to and making some third party software work is a huge pain.

Yeah, I really don't have a lot of bought software I would need to move to the Mac. I've also been looking into a Sony Vaio as well with a TV tuner, HDMI out, and Blu-Ray player. That way I could use it to watch movies as well as use it as a DVR. But that is running up there in price...like $1000. Any ideas for me Chuck let me know! I don't want to steal the girls thread here, but I'd like to try something other than a Dell. (especially since they don't give you a backup CD)

I found a couple Dells I like. One is from Dell and the other from Best Buy.
The one from Best Buy will be about $100 more. But I think it's the better of the two.
