O.K I'm one of the 4 who voted for mccartney,and no it isn't his association with the beatles as much as his solo work.But abbey road and sgt peppers lonely hearts club band albums have some really good bass work on them.If you listen to band on the run back to the egg,red rose speedway or alot of his other albums you will see it's not just a popularity vote for me.I can't speak up for the other 3 who voted for him but that's my opinion on it.Take care Steve

If you've never seen Entwistle play live, you missed out on a truely amazing musician. Hands down. Always has been hands down. I've been to nearly 400 concerts in my life and I never saw anyone play like he did. Geddy Lee is pretty decent too. But by far...Entwistle.
