    First Baseball Card Hits eBay

I'm sure most people heard the story of the couple that discovered the first baseball card ever made. It is now listed on eBay. The card almost sold for $9.95!
Al and Bernice Gallego uncover a rare 1869 baseball card. The card features the Red Stocking Baseball Club of Cincinnati. The couple, who own an antique shop found the card in a box of cards and papers. It could fetch up to a million dollars at auction, and the couple, not knowing at first what they had, almost sold it on EBay for $9.95.

    wow.

that story makes me think good things do happen in life.
i know everyone wishes that kind of thing could happen for them, and for that to actually happen, keeps hope alive.
People will say things like you should just be happy that youre healthy, or that others have it worse and as americans we have it better, on and on.
but as collectors, or like me looking for a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, (or as i usually do, look through the garbage to find some thing tangeble) i like to see someone have it happen to them.
    gives me hope.
makes me want to go to antique shops tomorrow! lol
p.s. ihope they get a trillion for it!
