How would you feel if you won it?
For me, it would be cool to look at for a few weeks, then the excitement would be gone, even though it truly is a "holy grail" type card.

Same with me. I wouldnt buy it if I had the money. It doesnt mean anythimg to me despite the value. If I found it I would sell it as well, but maybe not on Ebay.
You know you have a high-end item on your hands when you are willing to fly out to the buyer to deliver the item (especially w/ security)!

The auction ended at $30,100 !! IMO that is cheap for such a historical piece.
Hmmm.... Wonder if the seller will say the last person couldn't come up with the cash or something in that nature and take it to an auction house or have a straight out buyer. Having the auction end at 9:30ish AM Central time was absolutly stupid. People are at work at this time. There wasn't much fanfare for the card (TV coverage, internet buzz, etc.) there was some but not really that much.
Too bad for the seller but a great buy for the person who did get it.

Agree with your assessment. They would have paid higher commission, but the final price was only $30,000. The could have gotten 6 figures for it easily. Watch this one pop up at one of the auction houses' quarterly ads.

Sold for $ 30,100 ! ?
That is a shame better to be in the Baseball hall of fame I thought for sure AT A MINIMUM OF 100,000 + or a lot more this is a piece of history for a collector this would be a card you would pull out and be proud of ( I own he 1st basball card ever!) does'nt get a lot better then that. it's going to re sell for 20X that amount! if I could justify spending that right now I would but you know the economy. Maybe thats Y it went so low. Grant
