Let's clarify here...this is not a post against people being illiterate as we are not going to go down that road...it's more about typing like a text message, which is the age we live in or simply not taking the time to read your posts...

Well based on the fact that you speech is legible and properly punctuated.....
LOL
But I've never traded with you nor talked with you so that doesnt put me in a place to judge you. The problem with you question is that A.) many wont judge you who haven't talked with you and B.) public commentary/criticisms about other members such as "he said she said" could cause trouble later on down the line. However, with that in mind:
There are many things that stand out like manners as far as PMing (some can be quite obnoxious), the whole text message typing thing, and other little things.
Hope that helps

It's more about the not taking time to read the posts rather than typing like a text message. If you put in a thread, specifically what you are looking for, that you aren't going to look at sites and you want someone to make an offer based on what you are looking for, there should be some courtesy to read that and not waste my time with 'check my bucket'.

Tony,
I think the original poster is saying this:
I WANT THIS CARD, THIS TEAM, I WILL NOT CHECK BUCKETS
When he gets a reply Check my buckets. Then perhaps they are illiterate thus his rant. Of course more likely they are just lazy.
Best thing is to find people you enjoy trading with and focus on trading with those folks. Expand the group as new traders come to the site looking for trader like yourself. While others will look for other type of traders.

hyperbole - A figure of speech in which exaggeration is used for emphasis or effect.
Obviously I don't actually think these members are illiterate, they are posting on a message board after all. I am saying that they're extremely lazy. This isn't to say that the general population of SCF is like this, because we have PLENTY of great members who are a pleasure to deal with, the rant was about the members who do fit into this category.
The leet speak/slang rant was a tangent to my original post, I don't really have any complaints about that. You can type in perfect English or u c4n typ3 l1k3 dis, just as long as you actually read what you're responding to and responding appropriately.

To me, it's pretty simple. If you can't take the time to type out a coherent reply, then what makes me think you'll take the time to package up my cards properly?
I don't mind misspellings or poor grammar, I just hate it when people post some illegible drivel and don't bother to make it easy to comprehend.
As for the main part of the original point - I hate listing cards, stating what I want, and then having someone tell me which cards they like...and that's it. No list to look at, no site to check out, not even a "what are you looking for". Just "I like the Beltran GU". Well, you know what? I like it too. Thanks for sharing your feelings. Hope you didn't want to trade...
