That is why the President is given the power to veto, so that Congress isn't running the country.

And let's actually give Obama more than 5 hours as President before we determine if he will reach across the aisle or not.

i think he just gave in to them because he was tired of dealing with them.

exactly, anyone who attacks bush for 8 years was justified. anyone who says anything about Obama is wrong and off base. Are you saying that all of the attacks on bush have been based on policy and not about him? Yeah right. People attacked Bush first and his policies second. Therefore I defend my right to say things about Obama.
Which, for the record, I said Obama had my support. My issue was with the way the media and this country has treated this week.

I speak for myself, not for what others do or don't do.

Just got home and watched the inauguration... Am I the only one who thought his speech was too long and repetitive? Also, congrats to Chief Justice Stevens for blowing up on the oath by trying to do it from memory.

dude, its entirely about race...do you think there would have even been 100,000 people in DC today if he was white? Even if it was a woman like Hillary it would have been like this....you know why? Because in our nations 233 year history, this is the first time an old white man isn't president.

If you don't get it, then I guess you just don't get it...just realize that the media coverage and large crowd would have been the EXACT SAME if he was a republican

I actually thought the speech would be longer considering Obama typically has long speeches.

Didn't find it repetitive, although I do think he was trying to be a bit too poetic or artistic at times. The metaphors were a bit much at times.

he likes to use big words and phrases that general americans won't even understand. hey maybe that's why bush talking so simplisticly? so all the idiots in america could comprehend? sounds like a nice proposal to me.

Opinions are fine and dandy, they just can be mistaken for statements of fact depending on how you state them.
