    Yeah, they might start producing Donruss products the way Upper Deck started producing Fleer products. Of course, while Donruss is an established name in this hobby, they've never made basketball before. You don't suppose they'll buy ITG next, do you?

    They have. 2008 Donruss Elite Extra baseball has Rose, Beasley, and Mayo basketball cards.

    You're right, I forgot about those. But even so, they've never made a basketball product before.

    if that's what happen.panini will take over, on my opinion basketball cards will no longer popular & many basketball cards collector's will stop in collecting. what do you think?

    Even if the popularity slightly decreases in USA it will increase hugely in Europe, so i think it´ll be even more popular, with more people trading, not just americans and a few foreign resistants like me.

    I don't agree. They did the press release this year so that collectors can warm up to the idea. The hobby will adjust to this change just like it always does.
