well one way that might help fix the problem is the players could personalize the bigger stuff.

Another way to go is with custom stuff. If you make something unique the player might sign it knowing it would be easy to track on eBay and the like. For instance, if Rockiesfan33 started selling his autograph collection it would be easy to spot. His stuff is unique and interesting. Same goes for Bigga and a lot f others on here. Maybe the way to go in the future is the custom index card or the custom photo.

I'm fourteen and my TTM/IP autograph collection will always be my collection. I wouldn't trade or sell any of it unless I had to. I go to a couple Indians games a year and I've gotten a few autos. Last year, at the only game I went to, I managed to get Asdrubal Cabrera and Jamey Carroll. There were a couple of adults there with stacks of 8x10's and multiple OMLBs that were trying to push through kids to get to Cabrera, Carroll, and Jhonny Peralta (who was also signing). They tried to push through me, so I pushed back. After I got my autos, I "boxed them out" perfectly so a couple of kids about age 8 could get autos. The guys looking for profit got nothing; the little kids and I both got autos. :)

That old guy you were boxing out was me! I'm kidding- when I'm down at the Jake (Prog Field) I always let kids go first. The memories of meeting a player when you are a kid are overwhelming. There's nothing better than seeing a kid thrilled to death to get an autograph.

That's how I got Scott Kazmir. I hate those "collectors" who do anything to get an auto.

I may be fourteen, but every autograph I get means a lot to me. I have the ball they signed in a case on my dresser. I don't have the funds/ability to get a lot of autographs, so every one I get is special to me. A lot of times it's the story behind getting the autograph that makes it even cooler.

I think the BIG NAME players shouldn't care if we make $40 off of a item we got them to sign, i mean we pay the multi million dollar contracts, but that doesnt give the right for people to bring 20 items to a game to get sign, also NO ONE SHOULD EVER push kids out of the way to get an autograph "which i've seen" no matter who the player is.

These have been my thoughts too! Especially here in Milwaukee where WE help pay for the stadium! Compared to what the players are making, SOME people are making peanuts "off" them. One of my friends used to chase signatures for an Ebay outfit; doing PGA & NCAA football (it's a said thing to know he's used his Military ID & fatigues to get opportunities to have Master Champions sign 100+ items for his "platoon". Even showing up at their homes with his partner also in fatigues....
I know of one other guy, that I corresponded with for a while, that was or is a autograph chaser/hound here in WI. He goes to ST and brings people with him bc the players recognize him... and he has been banned from Miller Park signings.
Regardless, I am ticked that these guys are jeopardizing my hobby. I don't think more of these players than I ought to, but there is something thrilling about getting a success in mail!
In the end, this Billingsley fella is too sensitive! I mean, you're signing one baseball TTM, or maybe a 2 baseball card TTM... I just can not comprehend how all players do not sign all TTM. If people really wanted to make a buck off of TTM, they'd send a case of ROMLB balls... Y'all aren't doing that... ARE YOU??? LOLOLOL!
