    See deeakay's Items on eBay

Anderson Authentics replied and add more input regarding players and exclusives:
"Regarding the exclusives, it is only going to get worse. That is what I meant when I said the massive overhaul coming. Players are refusing to hold signings, private or public, so that when they retire they can charge a good bit higher. Other players are following ARod, and selling signed items through their own personal website. Players signing exclusives with other companies are getting locked in to airtight deals, where they aren't even allowed to sign in person (Ryan Zimmerman being the biggest example...so far). I know of a top prospect (top 10 in baseball, hands down), who was in deep talks on a five year exclusive, until his agent caught something in the deal that would have prevented any image rights of him to be used, thereby preventing him from appearing on any MLB cards without the company getting royalties. Player of course rejected the offer, and is now in talks with a different company regarding an exclusive that won't completely mess things up for him. This is of course, all in addition to not being allowed to sign any item not provided by the company. With the way these exclusives are gaining steam, IP and TTM will continue their decline."

Regardless, I know all of us will continue on with our collecting with honesty and etiquette!

I may have seen that guy you are talking about at brewers ST last year. I am quite new to spring training but saw that there were some pros there getting pages of things signed. Then, their buddy would come up with more stuff. In the mean time, these players were trying to get to practice. Fielder signed a few then jogged off. The pros were following him and really getting pushy. One guy got 5 bats signed, then as he left, asked if anyone wanted to buy one for 100 bucks??? That was the cake and I really thought this is a shame.

I like to stick to obscure people. Like a guy that has an 89 topps card for the Phillies but only had 5 atbats during his career. Those guys are the real heroes. All that work, for a few measly at bats or a 2-5 lifetime record!!! These guys have a better story than an AROD or barry bonds any day of the week!!!
