I agree, these 3 will go down as the best 3 ever. Like jeremy has said you cant really compare them until they all retire and by that time there will be a new player that is just as good.....its a never ending cycle.

My mom is still convinced Russell is the best ever because of rings, intelligence, and defense.

I look at it this way: Wilt is the most dominant offensive force of all-time, Russell is the greatest defensive player of all-time, and MJ combined the best of both worlds. Kobe and LeBron will also easily go down among the all-time greats (well, provided LeBron doesn't have a career ending injury soon), and are shoo-in HOFers. But as others stated, since they still have so much time left, there is room for other accomplishments as well. Though I think they will never reach MJ's level even with extra time, they could definitely establish themselves as worthy competitors for the all-time NBA top five list (a hard thing to analyze in and of itself since eras, positions, etc. all differ and make it difficult to compare across all lines).

Well I am bias to LeBron because I think he plays all aspects of the game. Personally, I think Russell is the greatest of all time because he played "D" the best. We will see, but I think those 5 will be in the debate for the longest time until another great comes along.

there's no way you can compare kobe, lebron, and jordan's performances at MSG....we all must be forgetting that when jordan had that game he was playing against a Knicks team that was ACTUALLY GOOD

Very true. Jordan also had another superstar along side of him (Pippen), where as Lebron doesn't, and Kobe doesn't really either...Gasol is a star, but not as good as Pippen IMO.

First, I have not been fan of all of them(MJ, Kobe, Bron).
(For me, I have prefered The Dream than MJ)

But the truth is Stat is not all.
(Of course, record is also important but less important than something like championship)

If one guy scores over 40 again and again in Kings or OKC like weak team, it's meaningless without winning.

I agree MJ, Kobe and Lebron are all great...Yes..
But Level is not the same all !!

    consider this..

Opponent of MJ was not now a days so-so NYK.

There were Patrick Ewing and other crazy deffenders in NYC.

And comparing with MJ is meaningless. MJ is on the cloud.

I think Kobe or Bron is Beneath or under Cloude not on the cloud.

Kobe Haters have told..- Kobe didn't win the champ without SHAQ

Lebron Haters have told - Bron haven't had great jumper.

Of course, Bulls was great team...not MJ's all accomplishment.

    But Leadership is another talent.

Look at David Robinson..He couldn't handle Dennis Rodman..

rather He told " I can't deffende The Dream..."

Part of Greatness of MJ was not Stat.
    (Stat is only result)

He was the craziest guy in crazy environment.

His opponent were 4 titans(Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaquille O'neal, David Robinson and Patrick Ewing), Alonzo Mourning's Heat and Hornets, Shawn Kemp n Payton's Sonics, Sir Charles's Suns, Karl Malone and John Stockton's Jazz, Magic's Lakers, Glider's Blazers, Thomas and Dumars's Pistons..etc.

(He was weak only in 1994-95. But he was crazy even in that season.
And it doesn't mean MJ was poor. It means normal MJ VS poor MJ)

But He became the greatest man in that CRAZY environment.

    Furthermore, he was Culture Icon.

These days, nobody(non-basketball fan) knows Lebron James in my country.

But all of them knows who is Michael Jordan.

I think comparing with MJ is really really really early.

At least someone has to get 6 champ, 10 streight 1st team and points king and once or twice triple-crown getting before compared with MJ.

Like that...Wilt was beast (I don't know well about him because I couldn't see his play)

But the truth is Russell is better than Wilt.

Of course, stat and power of Wilt is better and better than Russell.

But Wilt couldn't win Russell's Celtics.

Basketball is team sports. Basketball is not street ball.

We don't call Toni Delk is Crazy Guy because of his career high points.
    (It was around 40 pts)

    That is only buster.

i wont ever listen to anyone...

and i dont care about ohh all the championships...... look at the players who were around jordan AND kobe, on his 3.

LEBRON is IMO the best. he's still very young and with the teams jordan had.. lebron would have championships too.

i mean wow, imagine, shaq in his prime with lebron...

yea, that would be a championship.

alot of ppl HATE Lebron. just because he's good. but yea. thats just IMO.

I know you guys are always in love with scoring points........But there is more to basketball than offense. So, Michael Jordan has done something, that neither Koby nor LeBron have done.
