    Sources: Tyson Chandler to Thunder

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3913301

Final deal hasn't been finalized...but Joe Smith and Chris Wilcox are likely to be traded.

Not sure this helps the Hornets, but it does help the Thunder!

Apparently it's a salary thing for NO, but I agree, this helps the Thunder big time.

They FINALLY have some size, and on top of that possibly 2 ROYs in a row.

This is a salary move for the Hornets - Tyson has 2 years, total of more than $25 million left on his contract, where Joe Smith and Chris Wilcox both expire this year (I believe). Opens up cap space for the Hornets to sign someone to compliment CP3...

Also, the draft rights to DeVon Hardin will go to the Hornets.

I'll bet so - I don't see West moving to center, or Armstrong staying a starter.

    Hornets record: 30-20
    With Tyson: 21-11
    W/O Tyson: 9-9

    Ouch.

no way should anybody be saying "There goes the playoffs" or anything like that to the Hornets, as Chris Wilcox is a much better player than Tyson Chandler. Tyson wouldn't have been anything near what he was if he didn't have Paul. Compared player-to-player, Wilcox is a lot better. He's bigger, stronger, younger, I'd even say slightly more athletic of a player than Tyson. Wilcox can still throw down some nasty dunks off of lobs, in which he's never had such a good PG to play with. Luke Ridnour is probably the best he's played with in the NBA. Plus he's a good defensive player. I think Tyson will be a great addition to the Thunder, don't get me wrong. He will really add some size and leadership to their frontcourt. I'd say this trade is probably 50/50, but I say the Hornets will find Wilcox will turn out to be a real nice find.
