mispronounced names
Do people get your name wrong?
People call me Shyanne or Shawn. I don't understand how they get those out of Shayne. SHANE with a Y. Not that complicated! Or they look for a guy. A while ago this old lady backed into my car so when she was getting fixed, we got a rental car. The people said Ash and I couldn't drive it even though the insurance people said we could. So the lady at the car place was calling them and was like "there's a guy here named shayne.." and my dad was like "NO! that's her!" Aghhh. Most people say my last name wrong too.

How do you get Darrell out of Darren? I guess the similar spellings. But still. If people paid a little more attention :)
I actually like my name. I used to not like it. But then I realized I don't know any other girls with my name, so I like it

Having an Italain last name, I have heard it mispronounced way too many times in person and on the phone. My last name is Negri, so obvious you can figure out when in school I got into a lot of fights. When I call up any company on the phone and they ask for my last name, I say my last name and then spell it out right away.

I can't emphasize on how many times I've gotten called Christina Petreela (Actual name is Christian Petrila). I don't understand why people can't seem to read what in my opinion is a pretty easy first and last name. Ah well. Very minor things always seem to get the best of me. :D
