    Does this REALLY matter?

when listing tons of cards on ebay, instead of spending thousands of hours scanning cards one at a time, wouldnt it be much better to scan 9 cards at a time(in a 9 pocket page? it seems like it would be much quicker to get more cards listed. do you recommend or like this approach as a buyer or seller? of course if it is a high dollar card, i would scan it, but if its a 2-3 dollar card, does it REALLY matter if the card is a single scan versus a multi card scan. my though on this is if i am listing 300,000-400,000 cards i would either need a full time listing staff..ala burbank sports cards or it will take me a year or two to scan each and every card. at least if i scanned 9 cards at a time it would be much quicker to list cards and get more inventory up quickly. my second thought is if someone really wants a card bad enough, would they really care if it was a single scan or multi scan. I was thinking of scanning 9 cards at a time and put in the decription "card for auction/sale is for the card listed in title only, if you want a scan of a particular card your interested in, we can send you an individual scan upon request" your thoughts on this please? thanks for your advice and input.

Not to me, as long as I can clearly see what I'm buying. I always thought sellers did it to get more views of some of the other cards they're selling. I guess time saving is a bonus as well.

yea better cards I'd do single scans..but low end cards to save time I'd do the multiple card scans. As long as the scan is good does not matter. BUT DO NOT put 2 or more of same player cards in scan it confuses some people as to which card they would get.

Stupid I know but just a helpful tip

Edgar- your right, displaying 9 cards instead of one would give more exposure to the other cards in the scan resulting in maybe another sale or two.

    Bonds-
i never thought about that but your right, if you put two cards of the same player, i could see where that might confuse a buyer as to which card they are bidding on or buying.

great advice guys! Thanks! i never ever thought about what you guys recommend, but thats great advice you gave. I appreciate it.

This is what is so great about sites such as these. Most of us have no problem helping if/when we can. That is what makes great traders become friends and plenty of successful trades/sales! You get to know alot of people if you truely just try. Good luck on the auctions

    Hi George,
I agree, thats why i love this site and always ask questions when i dont know something, because the experience and wealth of knowledge of the hobby with members on here is great. just learning one or two simple tips from you guys makes a world of difference, example is, i didnt even think about that if you list 9 cards in a scan instead of one, those 8 other cards are getting 9 times the amount of added exposure compared to if they are listed by them selves, i also didnt know not to list the same players cards together because it would maybe confuse the buyer, i was just going to list 9 random cards together, now i know not to do that! so thanks for your help. i can sure use any and all additional help/advice as well.

Heres a simple trick as suggested before. Take 8 minor cards and one of your BEST and scan them together. people see that one great card and of course go to your list of cards to find that good one. Giving exposure to all your cards. Plus if you combine shipping the more one person is likely to try and win multiple auctions to save on shipping.

Yeah lol, people love to save on shipping by buying multiple items from the same seller, and I am one of them. I find myself searching and searching sellers other listed items just to even out the shipping costs and maybe score some nice cards that other people will pass up because of the shipping for an individual card. Sometimes I buy cards that I don't even really want from the seller just to even out shipping costs.

i agree! i do the same. I think i will offer $2.00 shipping and al cards won/bought in a 7 day period will be shipped together for the same $2.00. Also if 10 cards or more are purchased i ship for FREE! I was going to set my shipping at $3.00 but I think ill get more buyers if I offer $2.00 instead.Nice hearing from you my friend. Hope your doing well my friend.
