Theres plenty of tricks to EBAY such as what you use in your title. If selling a jersey card do not put jersey but use patch instead. I'm a patch collector so my favorite search word is patch. Jersey cards are a dime a dozen, but the word patch will get you more looks! If trying to get rid of many base/insert or cheaper cards do a LOT instead of singles. People like more for less. One thing to remember is everyone wants a "STEAL" so if you want 25 cents for a $1 card but shipping is $3 no one is gonna buy it.

true, thats why i think i will offer shipping at $2.00 instead of $3.00 i think sometimes people get greedy with their 3.00 shipping. and yes, people will pay 3.00 for shipping because we as collectors have allowed it to be the norm (by paying it) i buy ALOT on ebay so i am guilty as well as contributing to the 3.00 shipping factor. but i think they will sell more cards if they offer 2.00 shipping instead of 3.00. (i would rather sell 100 cards with 2.00 shipping versus 10 cards with 3.00 shipping) i will experiment using patch instead of jersey and see how that works for me. thanks again..keep them coming!

i really think that is the way to go, i tried scanning(not yet listing) and it took me FOREVER to scan each and every card. I looked at HUGE stack of cards I was scanning and said forget about it! so I went to the local card shop instead to buy more cards for my PC!

Edgar- your right, displaying 9 cards instead of one would give more exposure to the other cards in the scan resulting in maybe another sale or two.

Bonds- i never thought about that but your right, if you put two cards of the same player, i could see where that might confuse a buyer as to which card they are bidding on or buying.

great advice guys! Thanks! i never ever thought about what you guys recommend, but thats great advice you gave. I appreciate it.
    very respectfully,
    Bam Bam

But also if you put 2 cards of the same player in the scan that person who may buy it could possibly be interested in another card of that same player because the collector probably likes the player. Or at least put like area liked cards with it. So like if you're selling a Alfonso Soriano patch than the other scans could be of Cubs players. And put a note on the bottom saying where to find the other cards.

It never bothered me to have a scan of a bunch of cards to have a idea of what was in the auction. If you have vintage cards though, one at a time is better.
Also you could scan nine at a time and then make nine copies and crop each to have a scan of each card, it would take a lot less time. It's what I do for my PC.

what do you guys think about maybe having a category such as $1.00 bargain bin to list cards $1.00 each? As a buyer is that something that will attract buyers?
