losing skinner is big though, it was rather disappointing because he had a stretch last year where he was avging like 10-15 rebs a game. now losing him, ty hill and possibly DC, we are gonna need to have our frontcourt step up bigime or go out and get someone, or else i smell real trouble in an ever growing inside east

6 years, 76 mil is his new contract, extension was 4 years. shows his loyalty there, he coulda waited until his final year and "tested the market". the wonder boy kobe said he was gonna do that even before the season just for attention, but inevitably he will sign back with LA if hes not in jail. AI is a true sixer and will ride into the hall a sixer, i cant wait until this season.

the sixers started the 2003-2004 season off with a bang with a "TEAM" win over Miami. Iverson led the way scoring 26 and adding 11 assists with 5 steals and 5 rebs. kenny thomas filled in nicely for the suspended glenn robinson and the youngsters got into it as well. 2nd year Miami Hurricane grad John salmons chipped in 10 pts and 5 rebs, and rookie willie green flashed his brilliance with a 8 point streak. This years team seems much more at ease and having fun now seems possible. Not sure they can take anyone from the West, but they sure can win the East. Many think this team is as good or better than the 2001 team, new role guys are filling in and with the emergence of DC, Marc Jackson, and Samuel Dalembert, they have just enough inside to get to the finals. GO SIXERS!!!
