This is a little late and I love arguing about sports so here it goes:
Mark Prior has THE best mechanics in the majors right now and sure he's not a "superstar" yet but who cares? Mark Prior didn't necessarily "choke" in game 6 either. I watched that game and as far as stats go, he pitched very well. When a fan interferes and one of your teammates and the entire crowd is going bezerk over 1 infamous play, as a pitcher you will lose focus. The guy who really let the game go was Farnswarth. Bottom line is, he didn't choke, he got outpitched by the entire Marlins staff because of their momentum.
He's a good pitcher but winning game 7 does not constitute a "good pitcher." I am a Dodgers and Angels fan as well and I see your point about John lackey but the reason why he had an advantage is because of the fact that he was a rookie, much like K-rod. Now look at Lackey....
BTW, how can anyone compare Jerry Rice to [insert player's name]? Jerry Rice is a LIVING LEGEND, nuff said.

well stated, Gosteng.
Normally, I move a GTS game to Trivia Archives immediately after I've scored it; but I left this one here for further debates.
Like you, I love debating sports, and love folks who debate back at me, as long as we're not insulting each other.
And yes, Jerry Rice is a living legend, and one day, I will have every single card ever made of him (notwithstanding the silly 1 of 1 numbered cards, lol).
I loved him as a 49ers, and became a Raiders fan when he moved over to there
