    Go geno!!!

Just wanted to congratulate Evgeni Malkin for winning the Art Ross Trophy in his 3rd NHL Season!! I think he completely deserved it. He busted his *** non-stop for the past two seasons, winning the scoring title this season, while being the top defensive forward as well! Now he just needs a few more pieces of hardware :) aka Selke, Hart+..

Thanks for posting looks like A.O. didn't get the 4 points or whatever he needed. Perhaps this will motivate him to work harder. I am sure Malkin would trade this to drink from The Cup.

Oh yea, but Geno needed this. He publicly blamed his poor performance last year in the cup finals due to his lowered confidence when he came in 2nd. He's a perfectionist it seems like. He gets too nervous and stuff and loses confidence when he is outdone. He is pumped for the playoffs this season, as well as Sid. I think it will be a good run... 18-3-3 in the last 24 games.... picked a good time to get scary.

BTW Ovechkin had a Goal and Assist tonight (2 pts.) 109 for the season I beleive, with Malkin at 112

113-110 was the final standing. Anyone else get the feeling it is going to be rotated between Crosby, Malkin, and Ovechkin for the next few years?

I think if Crosby is healthy for a full year, and plays the same amount of games as AO and Malkin, he would be a run away for the art ross though. He trailed by 10 or 11 points think from malkin, but also missed 7 8 or 9 games where i guarantee he woulda posted 18 to 20 points.

I know Crosby is good, but you can't guarantee that he would have gotten 18-20 more points if he was healthy for those 7-9 games he missed. Everyone goes through a scoreless streak every now and then. I will admit that he would have gotten around 10 morepoints, but I think 18-20 is a bit too much.

I'm going to say this - If all 3 players played all 82 games (Ovie missed a few and so did Crosby) then they would all be around the same amount of points.

Gratz to Geno. IMO, hes better than crosby. They need an award for underrated player so they can give it to Zach Parise. He gets no love for a 45 goal scorer...

I agree it would be close between Ovie, Sid and Geno......if they played all 82 games....but I think Ovie would win MVP over the other 2...simply because he is more Valueable to his teams success....PLUS - The passion he has for hockey and the capitals is amazing.....Every goal looks like a Stanley Cup winner with him.....You can just tell he loves tha game more than anyone....
